What Is Roulette?

Roulette is a gambling game that is usually played in casinos that involves a spinning wheel and a ball that is tossed into that wheel so it lands on a particular area.

When betting in Roulette, players are able to bet on a particular number on the Roulette wheel, can bet on a range of numbers, or bet that the ball will land on one of the two colors on the wheel, which are red and black.

Where you are geographically determines how many numbered and colored pockets are on the wheel. In Europe, there are 37 pockets and in America there are 38.

What happens is the players put down a bet and an individual called a “croupier” spins the wheel in a single direction. The ball is then spun in the opposite direction to land where the player betted it would land. After the ball finds its resting place, someone is either going to win or they are going to lose.
